This S.H.I.E.L.D. themed cake was meant to be a little gesture of gratitude for @erebusodora - for lots of support, inspiration, and encouragement… well, she knows why :)

It was my first time working with fondant, so it’s far from perfect(And it breaks my heart a little that I cannot actually send it - I totally would have put it in a box and tried, but I have a sneaking suspicion the thing wouldn’t survive a journey like that and would arrive as squishy chocolate-berry-fondant pulp.)

AAAUUUUUUUGH!!!!! GIMME!

There’s a great book about Jim Thorpe called Carlisle vs. Army. A good read.

Born a poor half breed in Oklahoma, he grew up to run track, play college football, Pro football, Pro baseball, Pro basketball, be an Olympic Athlete, champion ball room dancer, rights activist, actor, and first president of the NFL. Jim Thorpe, you are truly the greatest athlete in American History

I’ve been thinking this way as long as I can remember, which may explain why Zoloft has really helped me get my life together.

  • you have never seen your own face, only reflections and pictures
  • something is always touching you
  • you can always see your nose
  • your tongue never sits comfortably in your mouth
  • you will never feel something exactly the same way someone else does
  • you can’t imagine a new colour

this ruined my life

I’m going to be completely honest here: I don’t know why Mark Rothko’s art makes me feel things. My rational mind looks at it and says “yep, that’s some colors grading into one another, whoop-de-do” but it resonates with my subconscious. To me, that’s what art and poetry are about, and why it can be a real struggle to evaluate art in any rational context.

The only known video footage of Anne Frank

I can’t think of any reason why someone would not reblog this.
If this isn’t interesting/sad to you, then I don’t know what you like in life.

Can’t we hit 1,000,000 notes? This is such a rare shot, everyone should see it.
