PREACH, BC!

Seriously, the idea that literary characters are somehow unable to be played with is insane.
You know what would be gone from the world of literature without such play?
- Every hero since Gilgamesh.
- Every heroine since Antigone.
- Every detective since Auguste Dupin. Yes, that means your precious Sherlock too.
- All of Chaucer, Marlowe, and Shakespeare.
In short, very little written since, what Homer? Play is good. Play is creative.
